BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Richard Allan, D.M.V.
Le Dr Richard Allan was born in Vancouver, BC, but with a father in the military, spent his youth moving around the country.
In 1971, at the age of 19, he entered the Université de Montréal and just four years later became the youngest person to ever graduate from that institution with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Upon graduation, he joined the Taschereau Veterinary Hospital, a small animal practice located in Greenfield Park, a suburb of Montreal, where the veterinarian was getting ready to retire. Richard took over the practice and eventually built a new hospital in the same community. In 1985, he met Gloria Grow who, at the time, was renting space in the clinic for her dog grooming business.
Dr. Allan is a member of the Canadian Association of Wildlife and Zoo Veterinarians and of VOICE, Veterinarians Opposed to Inhumane Circus Environments.
